Bottle Cap Thief

That's what mommy's calling me.

Mommy was drinking water and was too lazy to twist the cap on so she left it next to it. So I took it and have been noisily tossing it around the living room for the last 20 minutes. Says she'll never buy me toys again. I know she's lying cuz she's LOLing.

Am I fat?

I know i'm a big cat, but i never thought i was fat until today. My doctor says i'm at a very good weight at close to 14lbs, but today when i was checking out Mommy's YouTube Channel, i saw this....

Am i getting fat? Mommy told me not to take the comment seriously, and that it's just my fur coat making me look thicker on camera. She said that celebrities get criticized about their weight all the time. So this just means that i'm a star. I guess that makes sense.

A Mommat

What is that you ask? It's when a mommy starts transforming into a cat. This morning when mommy was half asleep her ear started getting itchy. She cocked her head to the side and started swiping at it at high speed like she was a cat. Yeah she used her hand not her foot so she hasn't completely transformed ... yet. She wasn't too pleased catching herself doing that. I don't understand why. It feels good.

DJ Zero

Remember what santa mommy got me for xmas? If you don't... it was a DJ Scratching Deck. It sucks and I hate it. Dunno why mommy thought it would be a good idea to get me one, when i have no claws. She wasted $25 + s&h. Anyways, since i was promised treats, i got suckered into touching it for a short photo shoot. I think i look pretty bad a** ... guess this thing isn't so bad.

Sleep Petting

Mommy's a dummy. She was dreaming that she was petting uncle/brother Hidaka last night. When she woke up she realized it was me that she was petting the entire time. One of the benefits of sleeping on top of mommy.

Satura Bakery

Is one of mommy's favorite bakeries. Today she brought home a strawberry jam tiramisu. It was super yummy. I got so excited helping her eat the whipped cream that I almost flicked a crumb in my eye.

Pudding and Bones

Mommy's out with daddy now but since he had to do laundry today mommy and I got to be lazy today. We slept in until noon. Watched some hockey while mommy heated up some old KFC, then turned on Netflix for "Bones". Chicken tasted a bit funny so we ate tapioca pudding for lunch instead. Mommy told me to stop hogging it but it was sooo yummy.
Then mommy crawled under some blankets and I crawled on top of her and we watched like 4 episodes until daddy said he was on his way. Boo.

75% off

Mommy's friend was at PETCO since her dog Cosmo had obedience training class. (Sucks to be him. Us cats are so smart we don't have to go to school.) Mommy and aunt San stopped by to distract the doggies to try to get them in trouble. Mommy's evil like that. Said she squeaked some toys for me. I have her well trained. I love when mommy goes shopping especially at PETCO or Petsmart cuz she can never leave empty handed. I got a whole bunch of toys and outfits today. Mommy said they were 75% off. Yay lots of mice! Perfect since they always hide from me under the couch.

This toy here I'm not too sure of. It's for dogs and there's something kinda creepy about it...

My First "Gotcha" Anniversary

One year ago today on 1/11/11, I was whisked off to petsmart in a carrier by my foster mom from the Tri-Valley Animal Rescue. Minutes after meeting a couple of strangers, I was placed in a cardboard box and handed over to them. My only familiar possessions were the two tiny mice my foster mom had lovingly packed for me.

I didn’t realize then since I was scared, but I now know how special that day was. Not only is it all “1”s, but it also marks the first day of the rest of my new wonderful life. Mommy feels the same way. Everyday she tells me how lucky she was to have found me. Daddy thinks so too, and says that if it wasn’t for him, mommy and I never would have united. In my blog entry titled “Self Introduction”, I talked about how I found mommy. So for the anniversary of my gotcha day, I will tell you how I almost missed mommy.

When mommy  moved into her condo, she got lonely. She’s always loved animals, and can’t imagine living without them. Daddy was against mommy getting a pet since her place is small, and he is sensitive to fur and noise. It makes him grumpy. They fought lots about this, and they almost broke up since mommy couldn’t see a future with someone who was anti-pets. Daddy finally agreed to let her get a rabbit, so Aunt Suko took mommy to the Humane Society of Silicon Valley to visit one of their bunnies. The particular bunny mommy wanted to meet was in the back room so they had to wait to be escorted. While they waited, they spent two hours visiting all the animals, and playing with the kittens in the playroom. By the time they met the rabbit, mommy had realized she didn’t want to settle for a bunny, she thought she met the kitten she was meant to adopt. The lady that was processing the paperwork for the kitty adoption knew mommy was scared about what daddy would think. Even though she had mommy’s credit card in hand, she told mommy that she should call daddy even though they don’t live together yet. So mommy called daddy and told him she was getting a cat. They argued about declawing and daddy hung up on her. Mommy was in tears. She decided not to adopt that day. For the next couple of weeks, mommy kept looking for declawed cats on petfinder, and sending the links to daddy. He thought I was too old, but finally approved and decided to cover the adoption fee for mommy’s birthday. I’m sure he regrets it sometimes since he can’t spend the night because of the meowing and fur, and is jealous that I get all the cuddles and kisses…. But he loves me.  Daddy plays with me lots, and thinks I’m the best cat ever. He even scolds mommy when she feeds me when he’s visiting, only because he enjoys our conversations while he prepares my dinner. I love him, and he knows that too.

Speaking of affection, mommy woke up this morning with a super warm arm. When she looked over, there I was hugging mommy’s forearm (like I hold plunko), using her upper arm as a pillow and snoring away. She thought that was the cutest thing ever. She felt bad about moving, she almost peed in bed. Hee heee heeeeee
